Low-Profile Optical Cryostat

The Sidekick Low-Pro Cryostat is a low profile, low vibration, optical cryostat with incredible vacuum performance. The Low-Pro boasts the thinnest cryostat form factor on the market with the cold plate positioned 1.24″ off the optical table and an overall height of 1.88″allowing the sample chamber to be highly accessible for many different experiments. Our unique vacuum structure allows for UHV performance with no outgassing. Proprietary system design greatly reduces vibrations at the cold plate to industry leading standards.

  • Amazing Optical Access
    • The low-profile sample chamber gives you unprecedented optical access to your sample by removing the clutter from your optical table. This keeps your beam heights low to improve stability.
  • Flexible Interfaces
    • Despite the small form factor, there are three side panels to allow dozens of DC, fibers, or RF connections.
  • Ultra-High Vacuum
    • Our unique vacuum design makes UHV vacuum levels possible with the simplicity of O-rings. These ultra-high vacuum levels keep your sample and environment clean and greatly extend operation times. The sample environment only uses low outgassing materials to eliminate sample contamination.
  • Low-Vibration
    • The mechanical excitation from the cryocooler and vacuum pumps is moved off the table by using the proprietary SideKick tower mounted to the floor next to the table. Your optical table still floats to isolate your entire experimental components!
  • Fast Cooldown
    • Powerful GM cryocooler lowers the cryostat temperature to 4K within 3 hours
